I just started reading this book, and I am already about half way through with it. It is really a lot of fun. Even more than The Da Vinci code. Which, by the way, could Ron Howard have fucked that book up anymore?

Anyway, has anyone else read this book. It is very action packed.

I like it very much. My parents sort of toured the locations in it when they went to Italy last year....

I haven't seen Da Vinci Code the Motion Picture, so i can't comment on that really.

And if you did, you'd be in the wrong forum for it really.

I did "Angels and Demons" as a book on tape. It was prior to getting Sirius radio but post me getting fed up with commercial radio, so I tried a book on tape. I don't think that it was a very good choice as I missed out on seeing all of the anagrams, but I still dug it. Like "The Da Vinci Code" better, though.

I thought it was better than the "Code". Everything but the helicopter thing. Just seemed too out there. That didn't give anything away, so don't "spoiler" hate. I think this one could be done "movie-wise" better than "Code". Great ride, and read.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to suggest that Opus Dei hid, for centuries, the fact that Jesus invented helicopters.

I believe that if you rearrange the letters in Psalm 23 it does say "And behold there will be whirley birds."

The clues are all there, if you look in DaVinci's Notebooks, he even sketches it....

Well, I finished it a few weeks ago.It was really a lot of fun. I wonder if he will write a third installment. Maybe he could do something in Africa or the middle east. We'll see.

I liked Angels and Demons much more than the Da Vinci Code. Just much more action, and it was much darker.

Yeah, but that is what I thought about the Da Vinci code.

Ron Howard, Tom Hanks, I mean what could go wrong.

DaVinci's notebooks are pretty cool. I like some of his stuff about water, everything is like poetry.

I've never read or seen the DaVinci Code. I thought about it, but the hype made me lose interest.

I couldn't get through two chapters of the book because all the damn jackrabbiting. The movie was mehh , Though the subject matter was interesting, the plot twists were all so obvious... No surprises.

But Amelie never looked better.

I did the same thing, on the way to your house actually. I found it rather annoying to listen to because of the overusage of peoples names.

If I heard Camalengo (sp?) one more time I was going to drive into one of those mountains.

I'm not really sure why they don't get a whole group of people, one for each major character, together to put a book on tape. Seems like it would make books on tape better.

I've recently read "DaVinci Code" and enjoyed it very much. I normally like to read books chronologically, but I don't think we had a copy of "Angels" at the time and I really wanted to read it before considering to see the movie. From what I've been hearing, the movie doesn't do justice to the book, but I've noticed that most movies never stay true to the book. I still wouldn't mind seeing it though, but I think I can be patient enough for DVD. While I was reading, I kept on trying to envision what a cryptex looked like, and I finally found out when I was in Walmart one day and picked up a copy of the DaVinci Code computer game. That, and seeing the parody on the MTV Movie awards :D

I really loved this book, much better then the Code. The movie did suck though, seriously its like they paid no intention to what the characters in the book look like. Brown is writing a thrid installment in the Robert Langdon series something about the Kronos Stone or Rock or something like that, if you go the the website he has this online treasure hunt kinda deal you can follow and he will tell you about the third novel if your interested.

I loved Angels & Demons alot more than Davinci, and the movie was weird. As much as I love Hanks(He is an A's fan, gotta love that), I think they should have gone the route like they did with Supes(and should do with Bats) and go with someone unknown. So they can be labelled Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent/Robert Langdon the rest of their lives and have no real career outside the franchise the way it should be!
