It’s also been announced two characters die in the final novel.

But who? Harry himself, perhaps?

I heard JK Rowling talk about this on the radio yesterday, the dopey tart.
It's not as if she needs to drum up interest in the book's release, people are going to buy it anyway. I can't imagine any fan wanting to know details like that before reading it for themselves.

I don't care however, as I hate Harry Potter with the fire of a thousand suns.

Truly cannnot wait for this book. I read the last one in about 6 hours. I think there is a distinct possibility that it could be Harry that dies because I didnt expect Dumbledore to die in the last one. Did you? Anyway, if I had to guess I would also say that Harry's parents will have a bigger role in this book and their will be some sort of romance for Harry. Don't Know. Can't wait.

Fire of a thousand suns kinda harsh don't you think? Could it be that you are a closet Potter freak??????, she types as she ponders the thought. HA HA HA.

I thought I was being lenient.
The Harry Potter story baffles me. I fail to understand how people derive any sort of pleasure from this patch-work quilt of every other children's fantasy ever written. JK Rowling is nothing more than a plagiarist.
The films, in my opinion, contain some of the worst child actors ever commited celluloid.
They make Jake Lloyd look talented.

Much better analogy at least. Opinions are much better when you can back them up with knowlegde touche PHIT.

The greatest child actor ever commited to celluloid:

You were surprised by Dumbeldore's death? Every single book Hagrid or someone basically says "Everything will be fine as long as we have Dumbledore."

My theory which if correct may be spoilery....

I actually have a bet with a friend because I think she's going to kill Harry Potter and he doesn't. I think the prophesy is about Neville. Neville will kill Harry in order to kill Vortemort since harry is a horacrux. He thinks Ron is going to die since he sacrificed himself in the chess game in the first book.

Jk, actually debunked that theory on her website. However, she could be setting everyone up.

I honestly don't think she will kill Harry. Just because everyone expects it. Plus Stephen King practically threatened Jk about killing Harry. That is one threat I would take seriously.

Same. I didn't know they were still making Potter books. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

Which part did she debunk?

That the prophecy is really about Neville, and that Neville and Harry would have to kill each other.

I gave up reading the books a third into Order of the Pheonix, but enjoy the movies. Can someone fill me in as to who, so far, has died up to that point, pls?

_________Possible Spoilers_________

To my knowledge, Lucius, Dumbledore (I doubt he's really dead) and Sirius have all died. Have I missed anyone? And who killed who??

Meh, I didn't think much of 'Half Blood Prince'-- But, have enjoyed all of the other ones. Regardless, I'll be in line with everyone else for a freakin' copy... because I'm a tool bag.

The movie versions of Stone and Chamber were pretty bad.. but, I thought Azkaban and Goblet were pretty damn good. Hopefully Order will keep it going.

At the end of Order of the Pheniox Dumbledore walks in on Snape sitting in a chair eating a Big Kahuna burger, recites Ezekiel 25:17, and then blows him away. That was great, Like the time Hermione started using her parents house as a brothel, why they were out of town, and she danced in her underwear to "Ole time Rockin' Roll."
