i'm digging you team, but your team also is a bit scary, more doom-filled then i picture the avengers.

Well, yeah. Vulcan and Jean Grey are both a bit superpowered and insane at times. Thanos is just crazy. But if you needed a team to take out someone like Annihlus again or the Magus, then this is your team. Their are the battles to decide the fate of the universe, not just one planet.

Well, Jaster, you created a team that can save entire universes. Truth be told I would love to read the stories this team would have. Real Kirbyesque stuff.

I tried to go for characters that complimented each other and filled the roles that say "Avengers" to me. e.g. the powerhouse, the leader, the god, the trainer, and the ranged weapon/flyer. Plus Beta Ray Bill just looks so cool next to Nightcrawler and Colossus. *geekgasm*

I tried to get some foundation to mine

the heart - Jean

Jean is there because she was (when she wasn't nuts) the most grounded and caring member of the X-men, she wanted to help people when she could and she could benefit by being around the Ultra-Powered Thanos and Vulcan who might teach her how to control her power.

the leader - Thanos

He's super intelligent, super powerful, nearly immortal, and almost completely nuts. He's got this obsession with death that is far less than unhealthy but there are periods of time that he's been shown to level out quite a bit. He's manipulative but Warlock has dealt with him enough to balance and keep him in check. Plus, he's been on the good side before w/ the Infinity Watch.

the comedic relief - Nova

He may not have the power (sans Worldmind) of the other members of the team but he has a moral compass and authority that makes him a great battle leader. His sense of humor would also help the team balance out.

the counterpoint to the crazy - Warlock

I put him on the team mainly because I wanted somebody to hold back Thanos. Drax might have been a better choice, but he is a bit nuts too and I needed someone who is a bit more stable.

the powerhouse - Vulcan

He's not that crazy. He's just a bit angry. He's on a mission to get revenge on the people who killed his mother and he's just a bit misguided. What I'm trying to say is, despite what he's done, he's not that bad a guy, just driven. He was dealt a bad hand in his childhood. He's got potential and a lot of power to back it up.

Again, as I said in another place, I am in a shitty mood and am looking for a fight. I do not need to pick one here. Yes, his team is mighty and could vaporize a planet in it's wake. Good on you Jaster. I meant what I said, I would love to read the adventures of your grouping.
